Terms & Conditions
BYL strives to provide excellent service in all our offerings. The Terms and Conditions give transparency so clients can have a clear, equitable experience with BYL. For questions or concerns about any of our policies or terms of service, please email liz@brooklynyogalife.com. We look forward to working with you.
Payment:
Payment is due before any service or event. Client may pay online through the BYL website, or via Zelle. If any payment does not go through, the client will be notified and will have up to 48 hours or the cancellation deadline of the session/event, whichever is sooner, to complete payment or forfeit participation.
Cancellations:
It is the client’s responsibility to cancel a session, Salon, or event by contacting BYL via email or, when available, directly on the Acuity web scheduling app.
1:1 Appointments: We strictly adhere to a 24 Hour Cancellation policy for all appointments. The client may cancel 1:1 appointments up to 24 Hours in advance. If a cancellation within the 24 Hour window or no-show occurs, the client is responsible for the full session fee.
Creative Wellness Salons require advance planning and outside vendors. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due at the time of booking. If a cancellation occurs within 7 days of the Salon, the client is responsible for the full fee. Up to 14 days in advance, the client will receive a full refund, minus the $500 deposit and any non- or partially-refundable fees associated with outside vendors. From 14 to 7 days in advance, the client may receive a 50% refund, minus the $500 deposit and any non- or partially-refundable fees associated with outside vendors.
Events and Workshops: Have a 48-Hour Cancellation policy. Client may cancel up to 48 Hours in advance. If a cancellation within the 48 Hour window or no-show occurs, client is responsible for the full event fee. In some circumstances, BYL collaborates with other providers. In those cases, the cancellation fee is subject to the cancellation fee determined by the collaborators, or the BYL 48-Hour policy, whichever is farther from the event date.
Refunds:
If a client has purchased a session package and would like to receive a full or partial refund, the client must email liz@brooklynyogalife.com with a written request.
In the event of a refund, any fees charged by third party payment processors will be the client’s responsibility. BYL uses Stripe, Acuity and others for scheduling and online payments.
For a paid workshop, event or Creative Wellness Salon, there are no refunds.
Privacy:
All 1:1 sessions are private and confidential. Personal information shared in session will not be revealed outside of that session by Liz Buehler Walker / BYL.

Clients are held in the highest regard, and it is expected that regard will be extended from clients to practitioners and fellow participants.
